Agra: A man who was desperately wanted to cure his wife of mental illness, confessed to the police on Thursday of having raped and killed four minor girls on the instructions of a Tantrik. He also said that he was looking forward to kill three more minors. The man has been identified as Sonu.

The Tantrik had advised Sonu that in order to fully cure his wife he must kill seven minor girls.

By chance, Sonu is a friend of Lalua Balmiki, the man who was lynched by a mob of around 100 men on Tuesday for raping and murdering a 12-year-old girl.

According to the police, Sonu said that he was assisted by his friend Lalua in the heinous crime. He further said that his friend Lalua had agreed to do the killings for him once he told him about the Tantrik’s advice.

“I never killed anyone. I have never raped anyone. When I told Lalua of what the Tantrik had said, he told me he would finish off the girls for me.”

Sonu is at present admitted at the SN Medical College in Agra and is recovering from his injuries.

According to the sub-inspector Omkar Sharma of Farah police station in Mathura, Sonu had confessed to the murder of the 12-year-old girl whose brutalised body was found in the bushes outside Parkham village early this week.
