Hi people!

Finally my dream came true. The dream of going on a holiday to Goa. Though I had planned it for the New Year’s celebration, but if you guys remember my sincere and humble appeal was turned down. As they say, it’s never too late. So guys, this is the reason that I wasn’t able to write to you last week.
Goa is heaven, man! I may be sitting here and moving my fingers over the keyboard right now, but my head is in Goa on the beach side. And now I have gotten a new name in the office, Mr. Goa Return. Sure, why not.

That is not important at the moment. Delhi assembly elections and its result are the talk of the town these days. Dude, Kejriwal literally blew everyone away with his broom. I mean, who does that?!  67-3: as Chetan Bhagat said that it looks like a cricket score. It does, indeed. Everyone thought that Kejriwal has no chance, but what a bouncer he threw on the faces of BJP and Congress. Amazing! Isn’t it?

Anyway, as I said earlier that I am still in Goa psychologically. There is one thing that got me completely out of the trance. All of you must have heard about the Hindu Mahasabha’s threat to all couples on Valentine’s Day, also about the protest organized against moral policing.

So, there is this couple in my office who is in a relationship from a very long time. They want to get married, but aren’table to convince their families. Both of them were already sad and the Mahasabha’s threat added to their misery, because they had plans for Valentine’s. That is when I suggested them not to cancel the outing and rather plan a date outside the Mahasabha’s office.

“Are you crazy?” interrupted VJ as usual.

You know why I was so much happier in Goa? Because, VJ wasn’t there to bug me all the time. Then I explained that I am not, but the idea is crazy indeed and both of them would thank me later.

The idea was to get them married on the Valentine’s Day. All it needed was to hold each other’s hand in front of the Mahasabha’s members. And, the next moment they would be married off. Then, they can easily convince their family by saying, “Oh no mom-dad, we didn’t do it. Mahasabha did it.” Isn’t it a great idea? It would also save a hell lot of money, after all, the entire wedding would have been sponsored by the outfit.

Well, jokes apart, we anyway decided to join the protest. I, VJ, Riya,a few more colleagues and the couple reached the venue. And, that is when my rapture was shattered and broken to pieces. We were all dancing on the desi beats of dholak as if we were in ladies sangeet. It was fun, man! Then finally, a few members of the Mahasabha came walking towards all of us.

“This is the chance for you to get married guys. Thank me later,” I said.

But, all of a sudden things seemed weird to me as the members changed their direction and walked towards me and VJ. Oh duck! Before we could move, they held us.We couldn’t escape. Dude, I could see my entire world tumbling down. “Mummy papa ko kya shakal dikhaunga”.

I tried to tell them that I and VJ are not a couple, but they just won’t listen. “Uncle wodekho,” I pointed a finger in the opposite direction. And they fell prey to the age old trick. “Bhaag VJ Bhaag,” that was the only thing I said. We finally escaped.

Good God! I almost got married to VJ. I could literally see myself being dictated by VJ with a hunter in her hands. But my running skills because of Football saved my life and old school foolish trick worked on those Mahasabha fellas. If you know what I mean. ;-)

So people, bye for now.

Buhbye!
