Peshawar:  In the most barbaric terrorist attack so far, 141 people were massacred by Taliban on Wednesday in an Army run school which included 132 students. The entire world recoiled at the brutality of the tragedy.

Pakistan government has failed to ensure security for its citizens. It goes without saying that the government should have been aware that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other similar outfits would look for softer targets as retaliation for Army’s operations against them in NWFP and Swat Valley. Since the terrorists are weak to mount an attack at the heart of Pakistan army, so they chose a softer target related to it.

Armed militants stormed into an army school in Peshawar and shot school children systemically by going room to room. Besides 132 students, the militants also killed 9 members of the school staff. The 8-hour killing spree evoked feelings of revulsion and chill at the sheer horror of it.

Pakistan announced three days of national mourning, beginning Wednesday for the children massacred by the Taliban.
